suitcaseGreetings!

Travel season officially started this weekend, and maybe you have plans to visit some new cultures and countries this summer. Before you go, make sure to check out this issue's resources section for some handy travel references and tools.

International Groups of the Triangle:

At 2 years old, The Portuguese Association of North Carolina is one of the Triangle's youngest international groups. Started at a dinner for four, the organization was created to represent the local Portuguese community of approximately 80. The Portuguese Association's mission is two-fold: to provide support and contact for Portuguese natives living in the Triangle, and to educate the wider community about Portugal and its customs. Monthly meetings, outreach and education now combine to connect the "Land of the Rooster" with the Tarheel State, and to grow Portuguese participation in NC.
