ArtLinks is now moving into a new period in its history.

We would like to say a big thank you and congratulate Cathy Fitzgerald, who has been ArtLinks Director for the past 3 years.

Cathy has steered ArtLinks through its formative years.

She was a great point of contact and support for artists from all the partner counties, as a practicing artist herself she had tremendous empathy with the artist's needs. Her IT background and communication skills means that the ArtLinks website is one of the most used arts resources in the South East and the recent ArtLinks survey will give us an indication as to what you as an ArtLinks member require.  We will be reviewing this data over the summer period in order to inform and plan future ArtLinks programmes, therefore we intend to update members in September.

We acknowledge the contribution which Cathy has made to ArtLinks during her 3 year contract and we wish her well with her own career in the future.

Please continue to upload your news, events and course notices to the ArtLinks website or send items to the ArtLinks email.

Dear ArtLinks Members, tutors, partner Arts organisationsand all those who have contributed to the growth of the ArtLinks community,

I have been delighted to serve you all in these early years of the ArtLinks programme. Personally it's been a great pleasure to see the breadth of talent highlighted by the program on the website and to see members gaining new skills, knowledge and begin to make valuable connections with each other to develop their creative work.

Thinking back to when I first started and now seeing the ArtLinks directory listing over 1500+ members/groups/festivals and all the creative activities listed every month really astounds me.

I also believe ArtLinks is just beginning to highlight the significant amount of work that members contribute locally to the well being and creative wealth of the region. I have no doubt too, that in these challenging times that ArtLinks will become increasingly important; the network is there but the potential for the members to initiate, come together and learn from each other has not been fully realised.  Interestingly, in the recent survey, support given by peers was the top item that members identified for supporting their creative work development. So I am now looking forward to contribute as an ArtLinks member myself and I hope you too will continue to be part of ArtLinks. Thanks also to all the members and tutors who have taught me so much.

Looking forward to connecting with you in the future and my thanks to all the partner ArtLinks Art Office staff involved,

 best wishes,
