"Do Tell"
The LGBT Aging Project's Monthly Newsletter |
|
|
|
| |
Dear ,
After working with filmmaker Stu Maddux for two years on the documentary Gen Silent, about LGBT Aging, we are thrilled that it is finally done. As we mentioned in last month's newsletter, the date for the International Premiere has been set for Saturday May 8th at 5pm at The Museum of Fine Arts. Gen Silent will be featured at Boston's Annual LGBT Film Festival.
How often do any of us who live outside of the Hollywood sphere get to participate in the making of a movie that will be seen by audiences all over the world? This is incredibly exciting news and it is cause for celebration. We are inviting everyone to join us for our Red Carpet Reception following the Premiere of Gen Silent. If you have been a loyal follower of the LGBT Aging Project or a dedicated reader of our newsletter, here is a chance for you to meet us and join in on this wonderful occasion. We hope to see you on May 8th at the screening and the reception.
When you read the shocking news story from Sonoma County ( below) you will see how important it is to have the message in Gen Silent carried to all corners of this country and beyond.
In this month's Do Tell you will find important information on:
- Our Red Carpet Reception for Gen Silent.
- 3 New LGBT Bereavement Groups forming in May.
- Our Matching Grant update.
- News, Community Announcements and information on the LGBT Senior Meal Program and our ongoing support groups.
Best,
Bob Linscott
Assistant Director, LGBT Aging Project
