Thank you for a memorable Pride!
Bob Linscott and Lisa Krinsky

Greetings!

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this month's Pride Celebration was worth countless memories. This was a historic year for LGBT Seniors in Massachusetts. Pride 2008 saw the creation of the Senior Pride Coalition comprised of the Boston Prime Timers, The LGBT Aging Project, The New England Association on HIV Over 50 (NEAHOF), Older Lesbian Energy (OLE) and Stonewall Communities. This was the first Pride coalition of LGBT Seniors anywhere in the country!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors who made the T-Dance possible: Ethos, MassEquality's Education Fund, State Street Corporation, Central Boston Elder Services, Dale Mitchell & David Imming, Wade & Horowitz Attorneys, The Boston Prime Timers and Dr. James Lin, M.D.

We also want to thank all the volunteers who made our Pride events so successful.

We hope you will enjoy these photos and memories from this year's festivities.

Sincerely,

 State

The LGBT Aging Project was incredibly honored to have the support of State Street's LGBT Employee Group. State Street PRIDE is one of 17 employee networks and has a membership of 140 State Street Associates. This year the PRIDE group sent a team of volunteers to the T-Dance and to the Pride Luncheon. We are thankful for the hours of hard work these folks donated to make both events very successful.  Thank you.

gret"Queerstock": LGBT Senior Photo Project
Many of you met photographer, Gretje Ferguson at the T-Dance or the Pride Luncheon. We are so thankful for her time and talents which she volunteered to us. Gretje is involved with another interesting project that licenses photographs of LGBT Lifestlyes to a photography stock company called Queerstock, a subsidiary of Getty Images. This is part of an effort to make positive images of LGBT Seniors more available to the public. Gretje will provide a complimentary photo shoot, at the location of your choice, and two fine-art prints in return for signing a photo release for your images to be available to Queerstock.

For more information about this project, contact Gretje Ferguson at 781-461-9202 or email her at gretje@gfergphoto.com.  The photos from the dance and luncheon were all taken by Gretje and you can see other samples of her work at her website.

 About the LGBT Aging Project

The LGBT Aging Project is a non-profit organization established in 2001 that is committed to ensuring that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender elders and their caregivers have equal access to the life-prolonging benefits, protections, services and institutions that their heterosexual neighbors rely on. The LGBT Aging Project is the only organization in New England dedicated to education, advocacy and outreach to our LGBT elders, a long overlooked and rapidly growing constituency.
