ROKC Teddy Bear Picnic in Billie Park

The kids and instructors of Arc's  "Rainbow of Kids Club" had a fun day on their "Teddy Bear Picnic' last Saturday at Billie Park in Paradise.

Every Saturday, the Family Support staff plan educational and fun activities for special needs children and their siblings. Offering varied recreational and social experiences. In October, the adventures include a field trip out to Max's Miralce Ranch & TJ Farm's corn maze.

ARC Store ADP Employee of the Week

Congratulations Tom Darby for being the ARC Store's Adult Day Program Employee of the Week! Great job!

Everyone knows to try the ARC Store first when looking for a bargain however few know that the ARC Store offers a lot more to the community then a place to save money. The ARC Store also offers paid work experience to many ARC Adult Day Program clients in both Chico and Oroville.

"The ARC Store and the ARCoffee cafe offer our clients the chance to learn valuable skills, "say Nelson Corwin, ADP Coordinator, "Work experience, social skills, math plus it builds their self esteem."

15th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction, Nov 6th

We are happy to announce that the Arc's 15th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction is right around the corner...Saturday, Nov 6th, to be exact. In the Arc Pavilion @ 2040 Park Ave., 6-10pm.

The night's merriment will include a delicious dinner, yummy dessert, wine bar, a special martini bar tended by the talented Chris Carter and, of course, our wonderful and popular silent auction. We receive wonderful donations from many local business so our silent auction is a great way to do you holiday shopping!

Tickets are only $40 and are available at both ARC Stores @ 2020 Park Ave., Chico or 2745 Oro Dam Blvd., Oroville.

All proceeds from the auction benefit our Family Support Programs including our Tuesday Night Support Groups, the Rainbow of Kids Club, and Baby Time. Since 1953, the Arc of Butte County has provided high quality services for special needs children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Now in 2010, we serve approx 900 families in Butte and Glenn Counties
