ADP Had Many Winners @ The Fair!
The ARC's Adult Day Program clients have artistic flare! If you got it why not share it? That's just what Alan Carrier's Art Class did....by submitting some of their creative efforts to the Silver Dollar Fair.

We are happy to say that many clients won ribbons for their efforts. "Everyone is very excited!" said Marion Jackson, Chico ADP Instructor,"We look forward to it every year!" Alan Carrier's weekly art class helps clients build positive self esteem, social skills and develop creative self expression.
We will have pictures of all the ADP artists (Chico and Oroville) up on Facebook very soon so you can see all the wonderful pieces. Congratulations gang!

ARC Store Employees of the Week
As you know, the ARC Store is the best place to find gently used clothes, toys, books, furniture and a whole lot more. However, few know that the ARC Store also offers paid employment to over 100 ARC developmentally disabled clients in both Chico and Oroville.

In this picture we have May's "Employee of the Month" winners. Congratulations to Ashlee, Richard, Sandra, Jennifer and Robbie.
"ADP Clients are engaged in a
variety of constructive activities in the store that aid in acquiring useful skills," explains Nelson Corwin, ADP Director, "Our work program offers clients a chance to learn real job skills while they earn a wage."
Have questions about the work program? Please, contact Nelson Corwin or Brenda Easter.

Dang It! Dang It! .... Dolls That Is
Who doesn't get a little frustrated now and then? Sometimes you just need to let it all out. Well the Adult Day Program Crafts Class figured out a fun way to be creative and release pent up energy. It's a Dang It Doll! You grab the soft doll by the legs and smack it on the wall while saying dang it, dang it dang it! Works, too. Of course, you have to make one first. :o)

Like to see one? Check out the pictures on the ARC's Facebook page. They really are adorable...and useful, too.

Have questions about the Adult Day Program? Please, contact Nelson Corwin.
