ILP Distributes Emergency "Go Bags"
Patti Thomas, Independent Living Program Director, along with Ray Fennell and Bonnie Bethel, ILP Coordinators, distributed over 100 Emergency "Go Bags" to ILP Clients during the month of July.
The emergency bags (provided by the Far Northern Regional Center and Dept of Developmental Services) were given to clients who live in high risk areas for fire or flood.
The Emergency Go Bags contained useful items such as a flashlight, radio, blanket, rations, water, batteries etc.
"We hope these bags will help our clients endure the fire season better then last year." says Thomas.
Questions about the ILP or the "Go Bags"? Please, contact Patti Thomas

Annie B's Begins Aug 1st!
This year is a financial struggle for everyone. We all read the headlines concerning unemployment and business stagnation. However, rarely mentioned are the severe problems experienced by nonprofits. Donations are down, grants are drying up, and the government is reducing or eliminating many contracts. We know it may be a struggle for you to make a contribution.
However, when you donate during the Annie B's Community Drive, your donation will be supplemented with a percentage grant from North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF). How can you help us get this money?
Simply make your donation between August 1 and September 30. Gifts must be made on behalf of The Arc of Butte County and mailed to: NVCF at 3120 Cohasset Road, Suite 8, Chico, CA 95973. Donations can also be made on line at www.nvcf.org or at our website www.arcbutte.org Thank you! |
