This was the first year the Chico Outlaws played a benefit game for the Arc. A great time was had by all... and the Outlaws won! Go team!
Thank you to everyone who sold tickets, handed out flyers... and of course a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who bought tickets and came out to the game!
Hopefully, we'll get to do this again next year!

New Face in Family Support
Hello, my name is Renee Tousant and am the new Family Support Coordinator.
I maybe a rookie when it comes to this new position but my journey with the Arc of Butte County started ten years ago as an Instructor in the Socialization, CASS and Respite Programs.
In 2000, Chico State lured me away to pursue a teaching credential. After teaching and owing a business for four years I returned to the Arc's Recreation Therapy and ILS programs.
The Family Support Coordinator position offers many new exciting adventures and I am at the plate swinging!
The FS Program has two Spanish speaking support groups on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month plus a "FOCUS" group (Families of Children Under Stress) on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Arc provides dinner and childcare so the parents can meet to express concerns and opinions and gain valuable feedback from their peers.
Every Saturday, Arc also has the Rainbow of Kids Club. The ROKC exposes children ages 2-12 to fun community events and activities such as the Orland Farm Sanctuary, Harvest Faire, crafts, games etc.
I am jazzed about my new adventure with the Arc. I am eager to meet all the families who will be participating in the programs.
