ADP 4th of July Celebration

Clients and Instructors in the Adult Day Program celebrated Independence Day with games, food and friends.
 
Many activities are planned for the ADP in August including their 3rd Annual Thrift Store Fashion Show!
 
Clients and Instructors have been working closely together picking out outfits from the Arc's Thrift Store, decorations and music for the show. "Everyone is excited. The clients will be having their hair done before at Skyway Beauty Academy." shares Julie Larsen, ADP instructor, "It's a great learning experience and great fun for the clients, too."
 
All are welcome to the 3rd Annual Fashion Show on Friday Aug 22nd @ 1:30pm at Arc's Park Tower Pavilion, 2040 Park Ave., Chico.

Chico Outlaws ~ Aug 29th ~ Benefit Game
 
We are happy to announce that the Chico Outlaws will be playing a benefit game for the Arc!
 
Buy your tickets for the Friday Aug 29th game at the Arc Thrift Store and the Outlaws will donate 50% of the ticket price right back to us!
 
Bring the family, enjoy a day at the ballpark and show your support of the Arc.

Plenty of Smiles at the FOCUS Group
 
The Tuesday night FOCUS Group families always have plenty of activities to choose from.
 
open houseThe games, puzzles, toys always keep the young ones engaged while others enjoy time in the educational computer lab.
This special support group is open to all Arc clients.
 
We provide dinner, childcare, homework assistance and an empathetic ear.

"Fitness is important but sometimes joining a gym is too expensive," says Nelson Corwin, ADP Coordinator, "So we gathered equipment that was donated to the Arc Thrift Store and set a room in the Park Tower Pavilion."
 
Clients spend time on the fitness equipment while being supervised by instructors. "It's new but the clients enjoy it." shares Marion Jackson, ADP Instructor

STRIVE Annual BBQ Blast!
 
People from STRIVE, The Arc, Caminar and other special needs groups gathered for their Annual BBQ in the Park.

This year gathering was delayed due to the recent fires. Happily a clear dawn and everyone came together.. to enjoy the sunshine, blue sky and a special exploding pinata full of treats!
