RT Crafts a Big Hit in Oroville
Rec Therapy had it's first of many craft classes in Oroville. Clients were able to meet to share ideas, and to have fun together. The first class, we made May Day flower baskets.
All the clients had many individual ideas on how to put an individual spin on this traditional idea. Fun was had by all the clients.
There will be a craft class in Oroville the last Tuesday of every month. Please, call Colleen at the administration office in Chico to sign up.
Hope to see you there!

"We need to better understand and serve our clients who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, "explains Hollie Ingle, SocRec Coordinator.

'We Care A Lot' Abuse Prevention Team
The Adult Day Program clients learned a lot of very important Abuse Prevention information when the "We Care A Lot" Team visited last month.
Facilitator Sherry Douglas and her team (Glen, Danette, Roger & Peggy) all shared their personal experiences and how they were able to put an end to the abuse they suffered.
One of the main points stressed by the team was for clients to feel empowered to report abuse. The "No Excuse for Abuse" packet is full of useful info including the following numbers:
Crisis Line for Handicapped 1.(800) 426.4263
Adult Protective Services (530) 879.3809
Abuse Reporting Hotline 1.(888).436.3600
Rape Crisis Intervention 24 hour hotline (530) 342.7273
For more information or to schedule a presentation, please, call "We Care A Lot" in Redding at (530) 223.7771
