The Arc of Butte County is excited to announce the opening of a new facility in Oroville.
"The Arc Emporium", located at 2745 Oro Dam Blvd, houses an Adult Day Program for local developmentally disabled clients, a large thrift/antique store and an "ARCoffee" cafe.
"There is a great need in the Oroville area for our services." explains Michael McGinnis, Arc Executive Director, "The Arc Emporium will offer a variety of Family Support services just as we have had in Chico for over 50 years. We are pleased that this new facility is finally a reality."
The Emporium is full of gently used furniture, collectibles, musical instruments, books, clothes and a whole lot more. "The community has been very supportive. We've had some really great items donated already," boasts Brenda Easter, store manager,
"ARCoffee Connection is making some of the best coffee in Oroville," shares Patti Thomas, Arc Associate Director. "I am sure it will soon be the most popular cafe in town."
Since 1953, the Arc of Butte County has been devoted to the establishment of community-based services for local people with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Arc is committed to securing for all people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work, and play. The Arc is a public benefit organization helping to serve these needs in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama Counties. |
