Happy St. John's Day (June 24th) and happy Aboriginal Day (June21st)! Oh yes - and Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there - whew - what a weekend!
Yup - hard to believe but it's almost the end of June.
For Aboriginal Day we're set up a special display in the Craft Council foyer with special works by our Aboriginal artists. And the Clay Studio is celebrating St. John's Days with demonstrations of different techniques given by experts. These will be on June 19 and 20 from 1-4pm.
We've been doing a bit of spring cleaning around here and and we have a laburnum in our parking lot that has died. If you are looking for some wood it's yours - just come and pick it up.
And to add to the spring cleaning - we now have four permanent lighting fixtures for sale - call and make us an offer.
Contact Anne Manuel at amanuel@craftcouncil.nl.ca
for more information.
The Craft Council offices will be closed Monday, June 21st and will re-open on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend everybody!

12) Professional Development Seminar On-Line
Pricing remains one of the most thorny aspects for any artist or crafts person.
SNAG's (Society of North American Goldsmiths) recent Professional Development Seminar spent over two hours discussing just this issue to a standing-room only crowd of 350 people. If you are seeking a pricing strategy, listen to the SlideShare presentation with audio from our four speakers' presentations titled, "Not Just Another Pricing Presentation: A Dialog About Pricing Your Work." Then listen to the 55 minute Q & A with our speakers and the audience. The discussion was lively and informative. Over 1,200 artists have listened to these online presentations so far.
Find all of this information free on SNAG's website at: http://www.snagmetalsmith.org/Events/Professional_Development_Seminar/
In addition, the blog "ASK Harriete" continued a series of posts about pricing, which added further clarification on pricing issues discussed during the podcast, such as how one factors in overhead. All the posts about pricing are found at: http://askharriete.typepad.com/ask_harriete/pricing-your-work/
If you have any questions about the Seminar or blog, please contact Harriete Estel Berman, at bermaid@harriete-estel-berman.info, or Dana Singer - SNAG Executive Director, dsinger@snagmetalsmith.org or by phone 541-345-5691.
