 As promised, here is the latest information we have collected for you. One of the questions we get asked the most is "who is my competition and where are they from"?
 
 As of right now I can give you these breakdowns but please remember that these stats WILL change before race day. Two weeks before the event we will re-tabulate the data and e-mail it out to you so you are informed well before race day.
 
 Also- if you have yet to book your hotel for that weekend then please get moving on that. We have had reports that a great number of hotels are fully booked however, if you have a particular hotel in mind that you have your heart set on ; keep trying. Peoples plans change all the time - so it's in your best interest to keep pursuing.

Training Tips for Your 70.3
 
One of the biggest mistakes new Ironman athletes make with their training is that they stop racing in shorter distance events. They spend their weekends plugging through the miles or kilometers without ever putting their endurance to the test. Weekend racing is a great opportunity to put everything together. Go ahead and test yourself; see what you need to work on, and practice your nutrition. Use the race as a training day! Many people that train for an Ironman will meet up with other "Ironman friends" at a race and after they finish their race head out together on a longer swim, run or bike ride. It helps make training alot more fun and helps to keep it fresh and exciting!

Your next e-mail from Trisport North will be in January. What we will be doing is sending you a link to a quick, on-line survey in order to get to know you better. The information will help us plan for the big day.
 
We also will need to collect some information regarding the carb-loading banquet that will be held on the Friday before the race. Many of you have expressed interest in bringing family and friends so we will want to get a good idea on how many people we are planning for. From there we will be able to offer you extra tickets.
