Chaverware Announces
Chaver-ware 4.10 release East Rockaway, NY - April 23, 2007 -
To clarify two things from the previous email:
1) If you are running Chaverware 4.10 Build 459, you don't have to do anything now. To find out what version you are running, click on Help and About Chaverware
2) To download the update, go into Tools, and Check for Updates. This will check the version you are running against what is on the internet, and only download it if you are running an older version.

Installation Instructions
- All workstations MUST have administrative rights on the workstation prior to running the update.
- The first user who does the download, must do this while no one else is using Chaverware. You can find out who is using Chaverware by clicking on Tools, Active Users.
- To download the update, go into Tools, and Check for Updates. This will check the version you are running against what is on the internet, and only download it if you are running an older version.
- Once the update file is downloaded, you will need to restart Chaverware. This will execute the update program on your computer.
- Accept the defaults in the update wizard. Once the update is finished, you can now go back into Chaverware.
- The first person who logs into Chaverware after the update, also must do so exclusively. There will be a data version update that takes place at this point. Depending on the speed of your computer, speed of your network and amount of data that you have, this process could take from 2 minutes up to an hour. Be prepared for the hour version, and don't do this during a critical part of your day.
- Once the first person has logged into Chaverware, the rest of the staff can log in too. Each one will be prompted to run the update, and they should as above in item 3. No one will be allowed to enter Chaverware with a previous version once the update has been run on one computer
- If you get an error about having errant adjustment records at the end of the update process, please send an email to techsupport@Chaverware.com and we will contact you with instructions. Do not panic, there is no hard to these records exisiting.
