ICOR Conducts Pandemic Preparedness Training in Thailand
ICOR had the priviledge to conduct Pandemic Preparedness Training for Financial Institutions in Thailand on March 6-7, 2008. The training was part of the Global Development Alliance (GDA) program on Building Partnerships for the Prevention and Control of Avian and Pandemic Influenza in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
The 2-day training was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and sponsored by the Influenza Foundation (Thailand) (IFT), the Thai Banker's Association (TBA), and Kenan Institute Asia (KIAsia). More than 60 representatives from the region attended the training.
As part of the training, ICOR researched many Pandemic Resources. To view these valuable resource, visit our Library and check out the book on Pandemic Influenza Resources!
CIDRAP provided 60 DVDs on their National Summit on Business Planning for Pandemic Influenza in 2006 that included key presentations and panel discussions from the event. For more information on CIDRAP, please read more about them below.
If you know of a resource that should be included in ICOR's library that can be shared, please send your suggestions to lynnda@theicor.org. |

ICOR is proud to support the new Singapore Standard SS507:2008
In January 2008, the Singapore Standard for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Service Providers (SS507:2004) went international. This international standard can be used by both in-housed and outsourced service providers to build resilience into their ICT infrastructure critical to their key business activities. Singapore has since aligned her local standard SS507:2008 with ISO/IEC 24762:2008 in February this year. The difference between these two standards is that the Singapore Standard is a certifiable standard whilst the international standard is intended to be a guideline.
ICOR's Asia-Pacific Campus Director, Edward van Leent is a member of this committee. For questions, contact him at Edward@theICOR.org.
