Best Testimonial Ever!

"Ta Da!!!!

An hour and 40 minutes until our guests arrive.  I am very proud of our staff for jumping on board with this make over, especially with the short time frame in which we decided to do this.  Fortunately most of them have known me for a while.

For the two of you, I must tell you this:  There is little in life that gets me as excited as when having the opportunity to work with people who are so incredibly amazing at what they do.

And to me, amazing  isn't just having talent, but it's a timeliness, energy, an ability to make things happen...when they decide it's time to happen.

You both bring such incredible energy to people like me.  It's energy like yours that sets the tone for people like my staff.  I don't think they would have believed me if I had to sell this one on my own. but the presence, energy, creativity and talent that you brought was what ultimately made this happen.

I am now very proud to bring people to our business home.  My team can now be proud of the space in which they work and in the end, they can continue to be their true and best selves.  Much like

both of you.

Have a great day and I will send more before and after pictures later.

You're The Best!

Thanks again

ADHD Boss...?

ADHDRecently it seems like there is an ADHD epidemic; kids, adults, everyone!

While I have my own thoughts on the "diagnosis"  I thought it might be helpful to have few tips to help you either work with a boss who has ADHD symptoms or help yourself recognize and address certain tendencies.

Using ADHD as an excuse for not getting things done just isn't acceptable anymore.

If you want to change things, you can.

I've witnessed major transformations many times over the years.  It's amazing each and every time!

It may not be easy, may not happen over night (or even many, many nights), you may fall down, but just get up, brush yourself off and try again.  Success is waiting for you!

TIPS FROM A BOSS WITH ADHD ON HOW TO WORK WITH ASSISTANTS:

  • Meet on a weekly basis.

  • Give permission for them to be vigilant in reminding you to do things.

  • Be open and honest about your needs.

  • Create accountability.  Make sure to actually then hold one another accountable.  Without this step it's a waste of everyone's precious time.

  • Let go of details.

  • Have them continually remind you of what you should be doing.

  • Learn not to be ashamed of what you need.

  • Be honest with yourself and with your helper.

  • Give them permission to call you on the carpet.

TIPS FROM ASSISTANTS ON HOW TO WORK WITH BOSSES WITH ADHD:

  • Be clear with boundaries.

  • Don't get caught up in their bad moods or overly excited moods.

  • Ask them how they want to be reminded.

  • If you ask them X and they say No, just drop it. Nine times out of ten, it is just some emotionally irrational response. Give the boss time to think and then re-approach it.

  • Stay calm and be honest at all times.

New Feature---Before and After Photos!

Many of you have been asking for Before and After photos...we'll be featuring new photos each month and you can find more on both our website and our Facebook page.

Thank you valued clients for giving permission for your spaces to be shared in hopes of helping someone else live simply organized!

Before:  Dated, mismatched second hand furniture, clutter, and brightly colored walls that didn't blend with anything made for an unappetizing visit to a local eating establishment.
Before SOT

After:  We painted and neutralized the paneling, created covers for the old pillows, removed the clutter, painted all furniture to match and covered all tables with same table cloths to create cohesiveness throughout, steam cleaned the carpeting and added a few inexpensive decorative touches.

Makes for a much more inviting space, doesn't it?  And so easy to do!

After SOT
