So far, we're not hiring a shipping company for our move. We're moving across the pond in about 8 suitcases and perhaps one trunk. (Our new apartment is about 680 sq ft.) We're taking clothes (very minimal amount!), dishes and silverware (our Corelle won't break, it's light, and dishes are crazy expensive there), towels, a little bit of yarn and a few books, the Xbox and laptop, a couple of unicorns, and just a couple of toys for the kids. That's it! Oh yeah, and the cats!

 

I wish I had pictures of our currently (in the midst of moving and downsizing) cluttered house and storage area. The apartment will be exactly opposite. I'm looking very forward to only having the things that are used frequently or that are super special to us.

Oh my!  Things have been very busy for the RTB team this Spring!  We have really enjoyed the busyness, but will admit we are looking forward to the warmer days to sit on the deck in the warm sunshine.  Those moments of pure peace and relaxation are vital to our emotional and physcial well being.  
 
We feel so fortunate to work with increndibly amazing clients.  These clients have also realized the importance of calming the chaos at home or work.  We look forward to joining them on the deck too!

Top 3 Spring Organizing Tips You Can Do Today!
 

tulipsSpring's here!  I know, I know, it doesn't seem like it, but I promise you it is!  Get a jumpstart on the season by taking just a few moments to start getting organized today!

 

 

What does Spring organizing mean to you?  Is it cleaning out the basement, attic, garage, hanging the snow shovel out of sight, or maybe purging your files around tax day?  Whatever it is there are a few really easy things you can start doing today that will ensure a more simple life.

 

Today's the day...give these tips a try:

1.      Live by the Love It, Use It, or Lose It Rule.  If you don't love something or use something on a regular basis, let it go to someone who will love it or use.  (it's okay to let go of gifts you received, but don't like too)  
 

2.      One In, One Out.  Starting today, for every item you bring into your home, one item must leave via trash, donation or other giveaway.  Once you are organized this will keep clutter to a minimum and give you time to do just as you please.
 

3.      15 minutes or less to total organization!  Yes, 15 minutes is all it should take to put things back in a space if you have a good working system.  Make sure you take a few mintues at the end of every day to put things back where they belong.  Tip:  it takes just as long to put something where it doesn't belong as it does to put it where it does belong.
