10 Little Secret Organizing Benefits!

I love being organized!Have you ever asked yourself how you can benefit from being organized?

While some benefits, like freeing up space, might be obvious, there are plenty of other reasons to begin de-cluttering and better managing your time.

Check out these 10 little secret benefits:

1. You can relax more. When you're climbing over clutter or struggling to find something in your filing cabinet, your blood pressure is bound to go up. By getting organized, your stress levels will go down, and you'll be able to live a less chaotic, more relaxed life.

2. You will have more time for yourself. By being more efficient, like getting your projects done quicker, being able to delegate, wasting less time looking for things and being able to make quicker decisions, you'll spend less time 'working' and will have more time for yourself and the things you love to do.

3. You will have more time for your loved ones. An organized person is always able to fit in time for friends and family members. You'll also have more time to help out in your community if you wish.

4. You will feel great about your environment. Being disorganized often results in embarrassment. You may feel concerned when visitors drop by your home or office and see things out of place. Get organized and you'll always feel good about your surroundings--good enough to invite people in without worries.

5. You will be an even better role model. If you have kids at home, being organized is very important. Your kids will take cues from you. If you don't put things away, chances are your kids won't either. However, when your kids see how organized you are, they'll know you practice what you preach. If you teach them how to get and stay organized now, you will help them prepare for the years ahead.

6. You will be healthier. Get organized and you'll have more than enough time to exercise and cook healthy meals for yourself and your family.

7. You will breathe better. An organized environment, also tends to be a much cleaner environment.  Get that dust, mildew, and mold outta there!

8. You will do better professionally. An organized person gives a much better business impression than someone who can't find a phone number, has an office piled with cardboard boxes or is always late for appointments.

9. You will save more. Money, that is. When you're organized, you'll always know what you have, before you buy more.

10. You will achieve more. When you're disorganized, there are always barriers that hold you back from reaching your goals. But organized people find ways to eliminate tasks that aren't necessary and to streamline those that are taking too much time. This leaves plenty of time to work on achieving all of those goals on your list.

What Can We Do?
"Ask not what you can do for the organizer, but what the organizer can do for you"...okay, okay so I'm up a little too late working on this e-newsletter and may be getting a bit punchy.  However, there is some truth behind the modified quote above.

Here are some common comments and responses of what we can do together:

"I could get organized if only I had the time."
RTB Reply: Working with an Organizer not only holds you accountable to project dates and times, it also provides you with unbiased decision maker who keeps you focused and on task.  It's amazing what a difference this will make in the length of time it takes to complete a project.

"I've gotten organized several times before, but it never seems to work."
RTB Reply:  All that means is you haven't found the system that works the best for you yet.  Organizing is a process of trial and error that will then require maintenance.  Our clients have many different goals, personalities, needs, and wants.  We work to find what works best for your unique situation.

The process will also be eductional for you.  We will show you the tips for beginning, working through and maintaining your organization.  We also follow up with you at 30, 60, and 90 days to ensure your goals are still being met.

"My husband thinks it's crazy I need help with getting organized.  He thinks I should be able to do it myself."
RTB Rreply:  (This one I hear more than a couple times a week and it makes me feel sad) All I can say is this...we can't all be good at everything.  You call the plumber to fix a leak, you take your car to the mechanic, you go to the salon to get your haircut and you call an Organizer to help you get organized! :)

"I have too much stuff and don't know where to begin."
RTB reply: You don't need to worry about that anymore.  It's our job to assist you in where and how to begin your organizing project.  It's also our job to keep you focused and on task so that it gets completed quickly and thoroughly once and for all.  Don't worry, be happy!

"I don't want to get rid of everything."
RTB Reply:  We by no means make you get rid of everything.  If you have very special items you want to keep we will develop a way to give the item the proper respect, by neatly displaying or properly storing.

"It would take months to through it all and will probably cost a fortune!"
RTB Reply:  Ahhh, perhaps the biggest myth of all time!  Yes, working by yourself it might just take months or even years.  However, when working with a professional organizer we will keep you focused on the project at hand.  There's this secret bag of tricks we carry that allows us to wok through a project in far less time than most people imagine.
