Simply Simplified-Reader Contribution! |

Hi Jessica,
I was just reading an article about simplifying your life from a perspective of working less, making less money and especially, buying less.... less to organize.
One good idea was to have a birthday party where the kids don't bring presents and don't get favors. Old-fashioned activities like sac-races and hand made pinatas.
As the mother of 2 toddlers I can tell you I don't have a hard time putting stuff away at the end of the day, because we don't have that much stuff.
Anyway, I know that the eco-friendly community has a lot to say about simplicity and thought it fit with your business mission and also your personal ethics.
Hope all is going well with you and your business.

" I have learned that all the hords of tools, paper and accessories that I have collected and have organized into a brand new 'huge' space in my studio was not needed after all. I'm at our summer cottage and have none of my supplies with me to do scrap booking. I wanted to make a memory album for two dear friends. We had a lovely tea party this summer and it was the highlight of my year. Well, I found two small albums under $20.00 and got the photos together that I needed. Found two small sheets of stickers that applied to the theme and a book of 12 x 12 papers that had some tea cup papers in it. The colors were very appropriate. All I had were scissors and acid free tape. Off to work I went. I used a quarter to shape corners and a paper cutter (which I had brought with me). The book turned out beautifully. They both loved it very much. Lesson learned. What do I have all that other 'stuff' for?
I also borrowed a sewing machine from my neighbor to do a project. All her thread, sewing machine accessories, and such were in a gallon baggie. I bought a tackle box and organized all of these items for her. She was very happy. There is still room for more thread and other foot attachments that go to this machine. Now they will be all in one easy to carry place.
All thanks to Jessica getting me started when we had to move from a home we had been in for 25 years to a brand new home.
Thank you Jessica."
