Greetings!
It has been an overwhelming winter for all of us at ISAC. Aided by the motivated volunteers from Antipodeans Australia, we were able to make a fruitful contribution to those who are less fortunate than us. The volunteers' selfless dedication helped make positive changes in the organizations that are supported by ISAC's TEACH RURAL CHILDREN PROGRAM. The 10 visiting volunteers from Deakin University, Australia, taught English, Art, Music, and Math in rural schools and orphanages and undertook infrastructure improvement projects at these sites. They collected money within the group and bought paints, supplies and devoted their Christmas break to painting the schools. More than the monetary contribution was the spirit of dedication, enthusiasm and giving that was exemplary. Each of them labored for over a week to paint the classrooms and the results were simply awe-inspiring! |
We wish to express our gratitude to these young volunteers who believed in their ability to make a difference and whose goodness has indelibly touched the lives of those they served. ISAC wishes all of you a very happy new year and invites all of you to participate in these and many other initiatives that we are happy to be associated with. Sincerely,
