Greetings!

ISAC launches 4 new programs for healthcare volunteers!
In 2008 we bring you comprehensive programs to explore all aspects of the Indian health care system from Aids/HIV epidemic, traditional medicine, rural, urban and public health.

This program gives students a chance to learn about health problems faced by rural communities.
Students work in the areas of public health, HIV/AIDS, and rural medicine. The program combines work with a mobile health van, small local hospitals, and health camps for children and HIV/Aids project.

Healing the Natural Way!
Introducing the Nisargopachar Nature Cure Ashram! The Ashram is a place of spirituality where patients come for "drugless" treatment through alteration of their diet, lifestyle incorporating mind and body systems.

ISAC presents an opportunity to know more about the traditional nature cure system. The volunteers here can immerse themselves in the lifestyle of the Ashram, and reap the benefits of nature care and cure.

Unique Volunteering opportunity in Goa!
The coastal paradise of Western India, Goa boasts of unspoilt beaches, miles after mile, fringed by exotic palm trees and lapped by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea.

Volunteers are placed with a local non-profit organization that is run by and working for HIV positive people. Students get a chance to see the realities of those living with HIV, the challenges faced by them in society and work environment and be able to work to improve their life through different program activities.

Study Urban Health Challenges!
This program gives students a chance to learn about health care issues and problems faced by urban poor. Students work one on one with local doctors in local hospitals and small community clinics.

This program offers great learning opportunities for pre- meds, medical students, public health students and nursing students who are interested in International health.

All of us can make a difference!
Even if you are a pre-health student and don't have clinical skills there are many ways to give back to the community. Past students have helped with conducting health camps for children, medical data collection and analysis, report writing for foreign donors and project evaluation in addition to working in the field.

Sincerely,
