On January 12, KCCD partnered with the Wilshire Christian Church Food Bank ministry to serve the community. Representatives from KCCD registered hundreds of attendees with the Wilshire Family Source Center Program, which connects families to various services offered in the community, including food stamps and Medi-Cal. Those who registered were also provided with a $10 Ralph's gift card, as well as groceries from the Wilshire Christian Church Food Bank. Hyepin Im, President & CEO at KCCD, stated: "We want to thank Pastor Kyu Su Um, his wife, and all those with Wilshire Christian Church for this partnership in this initiative to provide care for low income families in the city of Los Angeles. We are excited to be working with them and are looking forward to more opportunities for collaboration."
"KCCD is pleased to be offering our services in partnership with the Wilshire Christian Church. The high turn out demonstrates there are many families who are in need of support and services in the city of Los Angeles." |
As a partnering organization in the Wilshire Family Source Center Collaborative, a program focused on outreaching to the larger Los Angeles community, KCCD is able to connect families and individuals to FREE SERVICES and FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE including: child-care, foreclosure assistance & loan modifications, housing counseling, job placement, tutoring, mentoring and educational resources.
