Nearly $28,000 behind on her mortgage, and afraid she and her baby would lose their home, Hyun Chung contacted KCCD for help. She had purchased her home in 2006, but after a few years, she and her husband separated. A mortgage that was manageable with two incomes became an insurmountable burden to face alone. KCCD was able to save her home, and have her interest rate lowered from 6.375% to 4.65%, and her monthly payment went from $3,293.73 to $2,423.18, saving her over $800 a month!
