KCCD's Asian Pacific American Healthy Marriage Network is excited to announce an ongoing series of marriage and family strengthening workshops to the community! Our goal is to provide the resources and tools to equip couples, singles, youth, families, and leaders to build healthy relationships and families. Experts from our network member organizations will be featured speakers and teachers.

The first workshop in this series will feature Dr. Eun Soon Yang, president and founder of HIS University. Dr. Yang has been referred to as "the Dr. James Dobson of Korea," leading thousands of family ministry leaders' training seminars in countries around the world, including Russia, Korea, Germany, Thailand, China, and Mongolia. She has written nine books on marriage and family education and translated over eighty volumes of English books into Korean. She is the president and founder of HIS University, an accredited institution cultivating family ministers and missionaries, counselors, and educators who will build healthy families.

For the APAHMN Marriage Strengthening Series, Dr. Yang will be teaching a 12 week Korean language workshop incorporating Relationship Enhancement, a widely recognized, research based curriculum for strengthening couple relationships. Couples, individuals, and leaders are invited to attend to enrich their own relationships and learn to use the curriculum with other couples.

The APAHMN is a focused effort created and championed by KCCD to promote a culturally and linguistically competent strategy for strengthening marriages and families in the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. We seek to equip churches, community organizations, marriage experts and leaders with the tools, resources, training, and funding necessary to maximize the effectiveness and scope of their programs to sustain happy and healthy marriages and families.
