I am making a big change to my workshop schedule. I am offering half days. Partially because I need more time to get ready for my exhibit with Hanson Howard Gallery in July. The other reason is that I realize it is hard for people to set aside three days to do art. I am  trying this format to see if it works better with everyone's busy schedules. My goal is to maintain a high quality art making experience in the time allowed. People can still sign up for two or three days in a row and have their afternoons free if they want to.

I like for my workshops and classes to have a feeling of retreat from the outside world. A perfect space to safely create and explore. My studio is a working studio full of creative energy and surrounded by garden beauty and the sound of the creek.

I like sharing what I know about techniques and process. The best thing about teaching is to see the light go off in someone's eyes when they are in the process of discoverying something exciting and new. I love those "Ah Ha" moments even when they are quiet and unsaid, I can still feel them.

If you are interested do check out my new schedule and my new classes - "Tracing Paper Transfer" and "Monoprinting with Water Based Inks".

Art is always worth it.

  9:00 -12:00 Fri. May 20th

Advanced Paste Paper       $45.00 + $5.00 fee

Taking the first paste paper class is a prerequisite.

Tracing Paper Transfer  $45.00 + $5.00  fee

9:00 - 12:00 Fri. June 3rd

This is a great class for those who like to draw and love printmaking. The process requires some drawing on tracing paper with Conte pastel pencils or oil pastels. The drawing can be abstract or non figurative. We will be using oil based inks for this unique process and an etching press. You will need to come to class with an image you are ready to draw. I will have the tracing paper. With this process you can get  two or three monoprints  from your drawing.
Monoprinting with Water Based Inks

  $55.00 + 5.00 materials fee

9:00 - 3:00  Saturday June 4th

In this class we will use non toxic printmaking techniques that clean up with soap and water. We will create a variety of prints using rollers, texture tools, stamps, stencils, and drawing.

A great class for those who love printmaking but are sensitive to oil based inks.

I am planning to do more "Monoprinting with Litho Inks" workshops later in the summer or early fall. Stay tuned for workshop dates.
