Please join me as I present a workshop at the

19th Annual Women of Wisdom Conference. February 17 - 21, 2011. 

My workshop is called, 

Awaken an Ampify your Creativity

Do you long to be in touch with your art or creativity? Do you desire to take your art deeper? We will explore practical tools for opening the deep-rooted creative knowledge welling up within you. You will learn tools to help overcome avoidance and fear and magnify your creative impulses. Along with the practical tools and dialogue, we will make a story collage and a creative art guardian action figure. No experience in the arts is necessary. What you create is important and it may be essential to you and to the well being of the planet.

Art Camp for the Creative Soul

This workshop is just pure fun and it takes the intimidation out of exploring your creative genius. This is a good idea. Come join me for a three day adventure in art making. You will experience the pleasure and joy of creating beauty with your heart and hands in a relaxed and full on art making extravaganza.

This workshop includes:
Carving a stamp, printmaking with paste paper, surface design with paste paper, collage, amazing action figure, Book making which includes; Japanese stitch, 3 hole stitch, and a beautiful "Button hole" hardback book.

This class will explore the possibilities of monoprinting. You will learn techniques in viscosity printmaking using lithography inks. This class will be held at my studio in Ashland Oregon January 29 &30th.You must register for the class though the Rougue Gallery. In a recent Sacred Theatre workshop with Peggy Rubin we worked with the ancient Demeter and Persephone Myth. We were challenged by a request to contemplate where in our lives the golden child was stolen away and went into hiding in the dark of our subconscious. We were to consider attracting the golden child within us to return to the light and greening earth.

We are in the dark days of winter where this story is playing out with the return of the the sun on December 21st  Winter Solstice. Here is something that I wrote In Sacred Theatre and have been musing about.

It is our generational task to knit what is broken.
To knit what has been broken for generations of ancestral lines.
We say "NO - the buck stops here with me".
Because we will create and knit together
strong bonds and clear paths to walk upon.
For ourselves and for others.
We will wear cloaks of glory, lighting the way,
Clearing the excruciating dark pain of loneliness and sorrows,
passed down through the bloodlines and accepted as truth.
It is false and, it is a lie, spoken and realized out of fear.
We say NO.
Not now, not ever, no more.
