Dear Friend of the Urban League,
As Co-Chairperson of Mayor-Elect Mitch Landrieu's Chief of Police Task Force, I invite you to join us in the search process by helping to provide input on the qualities you believe the next police chief should have. Two convenient methods have been established to ensure your participation. You may go online and complete a survey by visiting Transitionneworleans and clicking on the take the survey link on the bottom right of the page beneath the box titled: Give Input on NOPD Police Chief.
Additionally, to provide another opportunity for you to be heard, a community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 11th, 6:30PM at the Superdome, in the Claiborne Room. Parking will be free of charge in garage #5. This will be the only public meeting where input from the community will be solicited directly, so please make every effort to attend. Hard copies of the survey will be available for pick up at the meeting and are available for pickup now at the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, Patrick F. Taylor Center for Social and Economic Development, located at 2322 Canal Street. Your support of this process and your participation are greatly encouraged. Click here to also download a .pdf version of the survey. Yours in the Movement,
