Dear , Bennett was away last weekend at Asbury Hills on his first Confirmation retreat so Mary and I took opportunity to celebrate our fifteenth Anniversary by having dinner at the Northampton Wine Cafe and then spending the night downtown at the Poinsett Hotel. The food was great at the Wine Cafe and it reminded of us of all the fun we had when we were dating in 1997. I spent every nickle I made that year trying to convince her I was cool and now she knows it was all a hoax.

Those of you who are Golf fans, Watch the Shot. Nothing else needs to be said about this. I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and I hope you will forward it to your friends, family, and colleagues who may be thinking about buying a home in the Upstate.

All my best, Keith (420-0262)

September Market Update

The number of transactions was up again in August, but only by 10% year over year. The market continues to become healthier and Year to Date we are up by 12.7% over last year. I was involved in several multiple offer deals this year and although it's evidence the market is become healthier is has not been good for my clients.

We at The Buyer's Broker believe the more you know, the more you will want The Buyer's Broker of Greenville to represent you in your next real estate transaction.
If you have allergies at home, you're hosting allergens with specific needs. If those pollutants could write classified ads, here's what they'd want.
MODERN ALLERGEN FAMILY (dust, pollen, pet dander, and dust mites) in need of carpeting. Thick carpet piles that are rarely shampooed or vacuumed given preference. No homes with hardwood, laminate, or vinyl flooring considered because there's nowhere for us to hide. Also, no calls accepted from homes where surfaces are steam-cleaned or that feature low-pile carpets that are regularly vacuumed (equipped with  a HEPA filter). Washable area rugs not considered.
RESPIRATORY AILMENTS willing to trade a clean-burning gas fireplace for an old-fashioned, inefficient wood-burning model that produces plenty of smoke and gasses. Please, no wood-burning fireplace inserts. Also looking to sell our vented range hood (which really sucks the life out of us).

The Fed Releases QE3 to Keep Rates Low!

Last Thursday the Feds announced their latest plan to aid economic growth and the stagnant unemployment rate. While the economy has been in the midst of a moderate recovery, unemployment has been stubbornly high and has become a "grave concern" to the Feds and consumers as well. By implementing QE3, the Feds will be purchasing mortgage backed securities which will, in effect, continue to keep mortgage rates down. By doing so, it is hoped that more consumers will purchase homes, spend money and get the economy moving. This action, if it works according to plan, could also increase the need for workers in the housing industry which could ultimately lead to lower unemployment. With QE3, low mortgage rates can possibly last for several years, but that will depend on the state of the economy.
Our Home Search Engine delivers the most recent MLS data in an easy to use interface. The data is imported directly from an MLS data feed so you can have the best consumer search experience. If you want a Valuation of your current home just send me an email and I'll run our new RVM (Realtor Valuation Model) on line and email you a copy of the report.
