"Holding On to Your Dreams"
By Bishop John Parks

Happy Miraculous Monday, December 10!

Everyone has had a dream at some point in his or her life.   Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, there has been at least one strong desire to achieve or accomplish a seemingly unreachable goal.  The unreachable goal occupies your mind and thoughts.  Many people feel that supernatural ability is required to achieve these goals. However, we must remember that each of us was born for a divine purpose in the perfect will of God.

Most people have or have had awesome dreams that could change the world.  However, the difficulty for most of them is holding on to those strong desires, aspirations, or dreams.  Over time their dreams seem to evaporate into just thoughts about the way things could have been.

The Apostle Paul's advice of pressing toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus makes sense to many.  However, the race seems too strenuous, and the mark seems too far away.  Consequently, many just throw up their hands; blame the devil, and say, "what's the use."  Their dreams become wishful thinking that never came into fruition.

Our choices, faith, and determination will determine the outcome.  Our ability to keep going and persevere will help us achieve the desires that God has birth in us.  We will still have to face many challenges.  Yet, we should understand that all of these things are necessary for us to develop and achieve a fuller understanding of God.

So, think big, think cutting edge, and go completely out of the box.  God loves it!  More specifically, He expects it from His "kingdom kids."

God knows where the curves are, and the trials that are necessary to increase our patience and endurance.  Your role is to remain passionate, and devoted to the dream.

The greatest demonstration of your calling is making your dream a reality by devoting ability, and zealously letting God work through you.  No matter what happens in your life, be determined to make it happen.  You could be the one that God is preparing to unleash the next big idea or company, or invention.  Now, take the first step, get ready to do it, and watch God move with you!
