Happy Monday, October 1!

Standing on the edge of that mountain, I wondered how I was going to survive.

It was too steep, with no way down.  One narrow pathway traveled around the top of the wide expanse defining the steep rocky cliff, at the bottom stood a large body of water glinting in the sun.

I noticed a shining object in the water similar to a city drain grate. Soon I realized it wasn't a grate, but a bridge.  The height revelation sickened me and zero survival rate thoughts plagued me.  I desperately wanted to live, but couldn't see a logical way it would happen. Alone, I began to cry and pray, asking the Lord to save me.

Then I heard His voice answer me, "I want you to Jump."  Instantly indignant, I began to argue.  "WHAT?  Are you kidding?  Don't you see the height of this mountain?  No one could survive, I am going to DIE!"  Again, in a firmer tone, He said, "Jump."  Again, I argued.  After what seemed like hours, I was tired of logic and arguing; perhaps I should submit, trust and obey?

Decision made, I stood up and said, "Okay, Lord - If you want me to JUMP --- I will Jump."  Grabbing a branch above my head, counting 1-2-3, I held my breath and let go, pushing myself off the cliff.  Everything stopped.  Where was the sensation of falling?  Confused, I looked down and saw that the air was somehow solid; holding me in place, yet nothing was beneath my feet!  How could that be?  The Lord commanded me loudly, "Now GO and LIVE your LIFE this way."

I woke up.  In my dream, the real issue was faith and trust in God vs. logic and feelings.   In prayer, my husband and I were being directed to do a new business/ministry.  We were grappling with questions; Couldn't God "see" the slumped economy?  Should we move ahead in faith?  Should we trust God to fulfill the plan given?  The answer was a resounding, "YES!"  The premier issue of Extraordinary Living Magazine was published, August 2007!

Perhaps you are facing a similar challenge; Are you willing to trust, obey, and jump off the mountain?  If so, be encouraged --- "Now GO and LIVE your LIFE this way."
