Happy Miraculous Monday, September 24!
One of the most astounding days of my life was, during a drive down east on the lifeless section of the interstate, when the Holy Spirit showered me with the vision to do an all gospel magazine. Normally, I drive without music, affording me quiet time to clear my head and incorporate some interpersonal communication. Within a ten-mile segment of this trip, I knew what to do and how I was going to do it. Here are some tips that helped me through my journey.
¨ Stay tuned in to the Holy Spirit. This wasn't my dream to do an all gospel magazine but it was a vision from God. Visions are mandates from on high and it is our responsibility to obey His commands. Following the vision came the dreams at night that gave me instructions to support the vision. Keep a pen and pad beside your bed to take notes.
¨ Stay focused on YOUR Vision. It is imperative that you stay focused on what God has planned for you. It is easy to get off track when you are looking at what someone else is doing and you take your eyes off God. Don't be like Peter and let the wind surrounding you cause you to take your eyes off God causing you to sink.
¨ Surround yourself with Kingdom Workers. Time is as precious as gold. Make sure that your inner circle is kingdom minded and they radiate your vision without hidden agendas. Reward those who help you accomplish your dream. I am fortunate enough to have a prayer team who pray specifically for the magazine.
¨ Don't neglect Family. When I articulated the Vision to my husband, he could see it better than I could and his comment was, "Are you going to remember me when you blow up?" I suggested that he be my Webmaster and four years later, he is my biggest supporter. I support him as a musician as well as juggle my schedule for my three kids.
¨ Power - In Christ, you are all Powerful. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Through Christ, there is nothing that you can not do. Do not be afraid. The power of the Holy Spirit circumvents fear. Move forward and don't look back. Remember Lot's wife?
