Happy Monday!
Your present level of living is a direct
reflection of your present level of thinking.
Never forget that. Once you shift your
paradigm, then things will turn on a dime.
And before you know it, you'll be living the
life you've always dreamed of!
You may be thinking, "It's not that simple." Oh, but I beg to differ. With the recent successful launch of Empowering Everyday Women Online Magazine, a long-time dream of mine, I know what's possible. For a long time, I had a deep desire to create an outlet for African American Christian women to express their creative ideas and gain more visibility. However, I talked myself out of it. After all, I wasn't so sure it would work. So, let me ask you; how many times have you doubted something God implanted in you? How many dreams have you let die because you failed to trust Him and yourself? How many seasons have you allowed to pass by, because you've been too afraid to pursue your passion? Certainly, unfamiliar territory and new ventures are intimidating for us all, but if you get out there and go after your dream, you'll be surprised by the results. For example, when I first started my journey toward making EEW Magazine a reality, I wasn't sure that major advertisers, progressive leaders, internationally- acclaimed authors and artists would support my dream. And yet, they did! Now, with constant streams of women logging on to our site, highly respected writers submitting content, and advertisers utilizing eew magazine.com to generate publicity, I know with a surety, I made the right choice. But here's the catch 22. You'll never get to see the conclusion of the matter if you don't start somewhere. Sorry. Only God knows the end from the beginning. You and I don't. We can only take steps toward our dreams and trust God to order them. Listen, I want you to enlarge your vision for your life, whatever it is. Today, I cast off worry, lose the defeatist mentality, take a risk and jump in with both feet! Don't spend your whole life talking about what you want to do someday. Rather, utilize your God-given abilities, resources and connections to bring your vision to fruition. Don't just talk about it, be about it. Don't just dream it, do it! And when you finally launch out you'll be amazed at the outcome. I am. God is faithful!
