Why You Need to Cherish Your Vision by Angelia White

Happy Monday!
Sometimes visions are not to be shared.
I have learned this the hard way.
When God gives you a vision, a dream, a purpose, it
is to be cherished, and what we cherish we cannot
share with everyone. Some people will just take it and
trample all over it, causing you stress and pain that
really should have never been.
Have you ever heard the saying, "Don't let the left hand know the right hand is doing?" Now I am not saying that you hoard what God gives you either. Everything with which we are blessed is meant to bless someone else. Our blessings are given for the edification of the saints and the glorification of the Father. When you are given the vision, however, the pieces to the puzzle are not always given right away. As a matter of fact, they are seldom all given at one time. You see, we humans have a serious pride issue with which we need to deal. God gives them to you with each level of growth you achieve. He does this so you don't get in too deep before you see the whole picture of what He is doing through and with the vision. When we take the few pieces we have and share them with others before God says so, we risk receiving pieces that do not fit the goal. These pieces can fast become a part of a reality that is not even ours. Do you get what I am saying here? Let me make it plain by sharing my journey thus far. I started this journey not knowing where I was going. I did not rest in the Word as I should have. I relied on others to tell me what to do and to run the very vision God gave me. I took pieces of someone else's puzzle and tried to mix it with mine. In the long run I paid a hefty price. I almost surrendered my vision to the enemy. But God! In my darkest moment, God's grip of grace pulled me up. He showed me the Promised Land from the mountaintop, but unlike Moses, I had another chance to get it right. I can still enter in and live the out the vision. No one will take it from me. My obedience and love for God helped me to see that what God has for me is for me, and I must cherish it with all that is within me. Your vision may not be clear to you now, but please do not allow the vision or lack thereof or someone else to get in the way of your Promised Land. Hold on to the fact that through total obedience, faith, and love God will bring you through. There may be some dark days and some weary moments, but just hold on to the vision and never let them see you sweat.
