Happy Monday!
From an early age, I always loved to look at
magazines. I
didn't know that God was setting me up to fall in line
with my husband's dream of owning a recording
company, promoting artists and publishing a
magazine.
But God had instilled that desire and the knowledge I needed. I just needed to listen to Him. God can do exceedingly abundantly all I could ever think because I never thought of owning a business. But if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart. I also knew that in order to have my desires met that I needed to submit to my husband. I learned that we had to agree and walk together. There is power in agreement. I encourage people to dream big. God will honor those desires. Look to God for guidance and be sincere. He will direct your paths. I now truly believe in "thinking outside of the box" because at one time I just wanted to live a simple life; raise my boys and be comfortable. BUT God had another plan for my life. God has brought me so far in my life it is unbelievable - and I look forward to what He is going to do. I started out in nursing; God gave me the caring spirit but at the same time He gave me the knowledge to do what I do and care about it as well. You have to be in tune with the Holy Spirit and talk with Him daily. He listens and will give you the knowledge to do what you need to do. I now have many goals, many visions, and I know that all I have to do is have faith in God that He will fulfill them. Especially if I am in His perfect will by being obedient to what He wants me to do. I can't help but encourage anyone who has visions and dreams to go on and step out there in faith. I can go on and on and tell you how my husband and I were looked down on because of what we started. Some people felt we were too busy, too involved and it kind of made me feel like what we were doing was wrong. I had to cut those people off. Because if I had listened to them, I may have given up. Things will not always be easy. Just lean on God and deal with those issues and move on. Keep on pushing and God will open so many doors - just like He has for us. God saw fit for us to be nominated three years in a row at the Gospel Music Workshop of America's Gospel Announcer Guild and then win Best Print Media of the Year last year at the Workshop held in Dallas. God showed me then that this was His doing. We are truly grateful.
