In scripture, dreams were given as divine messages, which often brought warnings, instructions, or even ideas. Most people will often confuse dreams with visions. You may even hear people try to draw distinctions between the two, but the truth is that they are relatively the same. Visions are referred to as supernatural appearances, which will convey revelation, a thought or concept, formed by the imagination. Visions are direct mystical awareness of the supernatural. Like dreams they can foretell and give the act or power of seeing.

In Habakkuk 2:2, it reads, ?And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.? Daniel 2:19, also reads, ?Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.? Although Deuteronomy 29:29 tells us, ?The secret things belong unto the Lord our God:? It then goes to say this, ?but those things which are revealed, belong unto us and to our children forever.?

But, how does God choose to reveal those secrets? Often times, through dreams and visions. Both Habakkuk and Daniel were God?s visionaries, who were confident in their successes and the projects they performed. God gave them the unusual discernment and insight to foresee into the future, supernaturally.

When God gives us a dream or when He births a vision in our spirits, He wants us to simply write those concepts and ideas down, then have the faith to trust that He will perform and bring to pass any idea or plan of action He places before us.

And remember Eph 3:20 ? that says, ?Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or THINK." If you can think it or DREAM it, God can exceed even your very finite thoughts. In the words of one of the greatest preachers and teachers in this century, Bishop T.D. Jakes, ?DREAM LIKE A FOOL!!!?
