Extended Holiday Parking Hours are Back! November 24, 2011 through January 8, 2012 The City of Mountain View is once again honoring our request to extend the parking hours for downtown patrons to shop and dine longer. Park an additional hour at the public lots and garages on Castro Street between Evelyn and California.
"Yack with Jac" informal sessions for members of the Mountain View Community to speak to the City's Mayor, Jac Siegel. Held on Thursday mornings 10:30am-11:30am, at Peet's Coffee & Tea (1032 Castro Street).

Leadership Mountain View: Moscow Meets Mountain ViewAt the Leadership Mountain View "Business" program day in November, program members not only learned about creating shared visions and corporate social responsibility, but also engaged in an interactive Q&A session with leaders from Moscow.

Proposed Law To Reduce Second Hand Smoke Exposure
The Mountain View City Council will be considering a new law to reduce exposure to second-hand smoke in and around public outdoor dining areas where food and beverages are consumed throughout the City, and picnic areas located in City parks. The law will include, for City Council consideration, a "buffer zone" which prohibits smoking 25 feet around all no-smoking areas.
