RUN for PAL
The Mountain View Police Activities League (MVPAL) RUN for PAL 5K Run/Walk is a community event, supported by local businesses, corporate sponsors and community members to benefit MVPAL program at local schools. RUN for PAL is a coordinated run/walk through beautiful Shoreline Park in Mountain View. RUN for PAL is a fundraising event. Our goal this year is to raise money to purchase a bus for transporting our youth to various MVPAL programs and activities. Having a bus would allow MVPAL to continue providing much needed services to more youth in our community.The RUN for PAL welcomes racers, families and neighbors to enjoy the displays conducted by the Mountain View Police Department at Shoreline Park before and after the run

New Poster for 2011 - NLRB Requires Notification of Unionization Rights
On August 25, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a final rule requiring employers to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). The NLRA regulates most private sector labor-management relations in the United States.
The rule is scheduled to take effect on November 14, 2011, and employers will be required to start posting the new NLRA notice on or before that date. Read more about the new rule. |

Downtown Parking Lot Closure
The temporary downtown parking lot at the corner of West Evelyn Avenue and Franklin Street will be closing on October 17, 2011, so construction can begin on the downtown affordable family development. Large 4' x 8' signs have been installed at four locations, as shown on the attached map. A copy of the sign is also attached along with the map of alternate parking areas. In addition to the large signs, 12 small signs will be placed throughout the parking lot. |
