This new program, a joint offering from the Chamber and Yipee, will kick off on Tuesday, March 22nd from 8:30-9:30am. Our first presentation, "What's Not to Like? Things You Wished People Told You (But Didn't) About How to Succeed in Business" by presenter Catherine Toyooka will explain how being likeable can translate to big bucks in the business world! Despite having access to both personal and work computers, most employees, at least on occasion, use work computers to send personal emails through company email or personal web-based email.  Employees may be surprised to discover that depending on their employer's computer usage policies, the use of work computers to conduct personal business may defeat any expectation of privacy. Leadership Mountain View: An Education

Leadership Mountain View's February program day took place at the Mountain View/Los Altos High School District office. The program day theme, Education, encompassed all school levels from elementary through community college.

Spring Cleaning: Part 2

A Safe Drive with RAC

Poor weather and deteriorating roadways can contribute to car accidents but a tire-derived paving material being promoted in California may help make roads safer.

 

According to the California Highway Patrol's most recent Report of Fatal and Injury Motor Vehicle Traffic Collisions, more than 6,500 accidents that occurred in California in 2008 happened during bad weather.  Through its Green Roads campaign, the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery is promoting a type of pavement called RAC that has been shown to resist deterioration and improve safety... read more
