Message from the President/CEO

The Bay Area is in a frenzy because the Giants are in the World Series. House Concerts in Mountain View Have you heard about House Concerts that have been happening in Mountain View for the last 14 years? No, well I hadn't either. I went to one of them last week and was pleasantly surprised. There might be others happening, but the series that I'm referring to are at the home of Daniel Steinberg. He lives in Mountain View and he built a big room on his home that is specially designed for the concerts, including theatrical lighting and a very slightly arched ceiling. He's an instructor at the Community School of Music and Arts and he's well-connected to other musicians, so there's never a shortage... read more |

Save Your Business From Severe Penalties and Fines
As an employer you must post a compliant Employment Poster in a conspicuous place in the workplace where all employees and applicants can see it. The poster also must include information about your workers' compensation benefits, payday schedule and emergency contacts. You may need to order several to ensure that your business, branches and satellite offices are displaying the poster according to the law. Failure to comply can result in severe penalties and fines by the state of California. 2011 Employment posters can be purchased from the Chamber of Commerce. Contact Jennifer Low, jlow@chambermv.org for more info. |
