Message from the Chairman
Rocky Tilney |
Greetings fellow members, On September 11-12, Mountain View hosted one of the largest and arguably the most fun Art & Wine Festivals on the West Coast. Country Gourmet Restaurant - 2098 W. El Camino Real, Mountain View
Please join us in this special presentation, "Build a Brand that Brings Referrals" presented by Evan Lange of Evan Lange Brand & Design.
Referrals are great, because it means customers are coming straight to you without a single marketing dollar being spent. But some businesses receive tons of referrals, while others only get one in a blue moon. The difference between the two is brand strength - namely, clarity and impact - two things any company can achieve, no matter its size. Evan Lange will discuss the dynamics of referral business, and what it takes to build a company with the clarity and impact necessary for a steady, growing stream of referrals. For more information please contact Joe Issacs at joeisaacs@gmail.com or 408-334-4403. |

Chamber Supports the Foothill-De Anza Educational Opportunity and Job Training Measure
The Chamber's Board of Directors voted in support of the Foothill-De Anza Educational Opportunity and Job Training Measure. The measure would establish $69 parcel tax that would expire in six years. By law, these funds must stay locally to benefit Foothill and De Anza College. The measure would help maintain important academic programs that train students for health care, nursing, and engineering to meet the Silicon Valley's demand for a high-skilled workforce. Foothill and De Anza College rank among the best community colleges in the nation therefore, this measure is essential to help them provide high quality academic programs.
