Representing Business to Government
Chamber Opposes Proposition 23
The Chamber's Board of Directors has taken an opposing position to Proposition 23.  The goal of the initiative is to suspend AB 32 (Global Warming Solution Act) until California's unemployment rate drops to 5.5% or below for four consecutive quarters.  AB 32 requires that greenhouse emission levels in the state be cut to 1990 levels by 2020. Silicon Valley is the center of innovation in scientific research and technology. The Chamber of Commerce Mountain View believes that global climate change is a serious problem and it requires immediate action.  Mountain View businesses work towards sustainability to ensure long-term competitiveness and a healthier environment.   http://www.stopdirtyenergyprop.com/
Chamber disagrees with the US Chamber's Position on Climate Change
We feel that the US Chamber no longer represents the voice of the majority of its members and urges the US Chamber to consider a more progressive view on this important issue.

The Chamber of Commerce Mountain View believes that climate change is a serious problem and requires immediate action to protect our economy, long term competitiveness of US businesses, and natural resources.... read more
