Two of the Chamber's area of focus is promoting our community and governmentt advocacy. This month I would like to highlight our Business Issues and Public Policy (BIPP) committee and Student Outreach & Advancement Resource (SOAR) program.
 
First, the role of BIPP is to identify and act on key issues of interest to Mountain View businesses. Areas of focus include local, state and federal legislative issues, as well as business and industry related issues, such as transportation, economic development, environmental health & safety, regulation and business trends... more

According to respondents of the 2010 Annual Survey, 72% chose attending/hosting a monthly mixer and 46% chose the Annual Art & Wine Festival and Celebration of Leaders. Join us at Microsoft's Silicon Valley campus in Mountain View, CA, to see how Microsoft Research is pushing forward the state of the art in computer science.
Rick Rashid, senior vice president of Microsoft Research, will deliver a keynote address to open the event. You then will have an opportunity to tour several demonstrations showcasing research occurring in the areas of data-center services for data-intensive computing, privacy, Web search, cloud services, and natural user interfaces. Microsoft researchers will be present to discuss their work and the complex problems they are working to solve.
