First and foremost, I would like to extend an enormous thank you to all of our dedicated and hardworking volunteers who helped make the Art & Wine Festival a tremendous success! It takes nearly a year to plan and a thousand volunteers to pull off. Our Program & Events guru, Dave Stevens did an amazing job coordinating it all. Big thanks also go to Monte Carlo, Hobee's, Fiesta Del Mar Too for donating delicious food to keep our warehouse crew fortified. We look forward to doing it all again next year. New Government Affairs Website to Help Members Stay Informed with Legislative Issues
The Chamber of Commerce Mountain View is working actively to act as a voice to our community and has been an effective liaison between local businesses, legislators and community leaders. The Business Issues & Public Policy (BIPP) Committee plays a vital role in informing our members about legislative issues.
The Chamber has launched its new Government Affairs website where members can follow the legislative process, track certain bills, and take action by contacting legislators on local, state and federal level. As we work together in following important legislative issues, this website will not only provide the latest updates on legislative items but also enables you to take immediate action by sending support or opposition letters directly from this site to your elected officials. This website is a great tool to voice your opinion and take action on crucial legislative bills that might be impacting your business. Please go to: www.chambermvadvocacy.com. |

Jane Dickson, West Region General Manager Partners of Microsoft's Small & Mid-market Solutions and Partners

A purchase as small as a pizza lunch for the marketing team or as large as new desk chairs for the entire staff falls under much greater scrutiny in today's workplace. Recently, I've been speaking with many IT and business decision makers who are carefully considering upgrading their current operating systems to Windows 7. In many cases, determining which version of this operating system will best support your business today, as well as six months from now, can be challenging... more
