Chamber Members - M2M Has Arrived!

 
M2M, Member to Member, is a unique discount program available only to current Chamber Member Businesses and their employees. The program allows Chamber Member Businesses to offer exclusive discounts to fellow member businesses and their employees.
 
All currently available discounts are accessible via the M2M logo on the www.chambermv.org homepage. Simply print the appropriate page including the discount you'd like to use, present it at the time of purchase and start saving money while supporting your fellow Chamber members and your community! (Discounts will be honored through 12/31/2009 unless otherwise noted.)
 
In the coming weeks, participating businesses will also have the M2M logo added to their current online directory listing, increasing their visibility within the directory. This information is also being added to the "Prospective Member" and "New Member" kits. NEW DISCOUNTS WILL BE ADDED MONTHLY!

38th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival Volunteers Needed
 
The 38th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is September 12 and 13, 2009. The Chamber of Commerce greatly depends on its success.
 
The Chamber needs volunteers to pour beer and wine or sell glasses and drink tickets both days. People may volunteer with a group, or as individuals.
 
The shifts are 9:30-1:00, 12:30-4:00, and 3:30-6:30 on Saturday and Sunday. All volunteers will receive an official festival t-shirt to wear during their shift.  They will also be invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Party after the festival. The party is held at Lucky's Bar inside Shoreline Amphitheater.

The Chamber of Commerce Mountain View has begun a "Shop Local" initiative to encourage the support of small community businesses, but with an added touch, which Oscar Garcia, President of the Chamber, calls simply "heart."  Not satisfied with typical "Shop Local" efforts, the planning group has added a philanthropic component designed to help businesses support the community, while also attracting new customers and generating increased sales.
