Spring has sprung and things are moving and shaking at the Chamber of Commerce Mountain View, and it's not just because of the recent earthquake. The renewed enthusiasm in all of our programs is contagious.
 
Google hosted 150 of us for the YIPEE BigWig lunch recently to showcase Google apps and learn how much Google can do for small businesses. Many of us left wanting to learn even more, so keep your ear to the ground for follow up events. The BigWig lunch was also an opportunity for us to launch our new YIPEE website, www.yipeesv.com. If you haven't checked it out, I strongly encourage you to. This dynamic group of young people has systems in place to not only network, but job search, and mentor (and be mentored!).
 
Now more than ever it is important to shop locally. Not only does it benefit our merchants and small businesses in Mountain View, but the tax dollars generated go back into our community. When cities have strong economies... more

Or consider forming your own team for Relay For Life of Mountain View, to be held May 30 - May 31 at Cuesta Park. This year will mark Mtn. View's sixth Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society's signature event in the fight against cancer.  This overnight team event brings people together to CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer, REMEMBER  those lost, and FIGHT BACK against a disease that needs to be stopped.
