We Put it in the Books!
What A Great First Triathlon!
A huge thank you to Shannon Kurek and his entire team at HFP Racing for doing a fantastic job with the Inaugural Giant Eagle Multisport Festival.
A major thank you to Stuart Hunter and his team from Roll who got me on my first bike and made my riding experience remarkable.
My ironman younger sister Jenny joined me and the rest of Dave's Wave last Sunday. We were the absolute last wave and I was the last participant to get in the water. After getting through half of the swim, I knew things were going to go great. The bike was fantastic. We road 18 miles down High Street, how cool is that? I think I talked to every volunteer and police officer on the way. The hardest part for me was the 5k at the end. It was a hot and humid and I was about done. My sister really helped me and slowly but surely we did it. We put half a mile of swimming, 18 miles of biking and the 5k run in the books. This was my first but it certainly won't be my last.
I want to thank all of you for all of your support and encouragement. I met a lot of great people at the event and I look forward to seeing you all again at
Emerald City.
