The 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Meiler Vier will take place at the tapping of the Keg Celebration on Friday Night September 23rd at 6:15pm.

This is a cool 4 mile event that starts and finishes at Oktoberfest and tours the Ohio Fairgrounds. This race sells out every year. Make sure you Register Now!

Last week was pretty cool as my "adventure" into training for the The Giant Eagle Multisport Festival reached the next level.

First off, Nicholas Carey and Stuart Hunter and the team from Roll took my bike and installed Shimano "Clip in" pedals with bike shoes, Airstryke Aerobars and a CatEye computer to measure MPH and Cadence (revolutions of the pedals per minute). The pedals are amazingly easy to clip in and out of. The "Tri-bars" make a huge difference on a straight open road. The computer makes it really easy for me as all I have to do now is concentrate on a cadence of 90 (no idea why other than that is what Stuart said, and it seems to work). This past weekend we attended the Giant Eagle Multisport Festival training seminar at Roll. I had the opportunity to meet and ride with Olympian Victor Plata. Check out the photos.

As we rode from Roll to Alum Creek to swim, I had my first ever flat tire. Victor stopped our group and put together an impromptu tire changing seminar. Thankfully I had the Roll Essential Kit on the back of my seat. We changed the tire together in less than 5 minutes and were back on our way to Alum Creek. How about that, my first flat tire was changed by an Olympian.

Then we start right into the Celebration Tour and the Fall Expo schedule for Arizona and Cap City. There are a lot of great things in store for our participants this year and it does not happen without you. Thank you for being a part of it.
