In Remembrance of Jerald S. Kozlek

Jerry Kozlek

January 20th was a sad day for the Riverside Research family, specifically within the Airborne Reconnaissance Systems Directorate. Jerry Kozlek, our dear friend and colleague, unexpectedly passed away while on travel. Spread the Word about TechFest

Dayton's annual TechFest event is this coming weekend at Sinclair Community College and we'll be there with an exciting new booth experience. In addition to showcasing our e-Texts, the Riverside Research booth will send visitors on a scavenger hunt around the building. If participants can correctly decrypt a secret message, they'll win a prize that appeals to all ages. Help us spread the word by clicking on our web announcement and forwarding to interested friends.

Updates Since Last Month

  • Scott McLaughlin, our Information Dominance colleague deployed to Afghanistan on active duty in the U.S. Navy Reserve, was thrilled to receive our care package. He reported that things are going well and that he hopes to return home this summer. Scott also appreciated the video message. "Riverside continues to amaze me," he said.
  • Team Bananas won the 3rd Place Champion's Award at FIRST LEGO League state competition earlier this month. See their photo here. A robot malfunction doomed their chances at finishing first. Normally, this would have been the end of the road for our team of young scientists; however, the judges were so impressed by their presentation, Team Bananas was hand selected to compete at nationals. Monitor their progress here.
