Hopefully this month's newsletter finds you fully recovered from any food comas Thanksgiving may have ensued on you, and you're as eager to finish out this year as we are.
This month's newsletter is hot-off-the -press as I have just returned from a very unique event to the Corridor, the Corridor Business Journal's "How I Built It" event. After a morning of networking, an open panel discussion and of course a hearty breakfast (they always have to feed ya!) I couldn't help but come back feeling energized about our business; ironic considering we've been around for 50 years, and the event was more geared for the starting entrepreneur.
Either way, it allowed me to see a banquet hall FULL of colleagues potentially interested in IT. After networking and almost immediately after the need for an IT solution provider like ourselves was confirmed, it became very apparent that businesses alike are still unaware of the meaning behind Information Technology and what it can do for them. Don't worry I'm NOT going to define it; we'd be here all night (and shockingly enough I was told to keep this one brief considering it's the busiest time of the year).
So, in order to appreciate the irony in today's event, for the past couple of months we've been working diligently to roll out some additional educational and informational avenues designed to keep our customers and potential customers up-to-date with the most current technologies.
The first, we've officially launched an educational lunch and learn Webinar series. If you haven't already seen information regarding this exciting new venture for us we've included details throughout this month's newsletter. You can also visit www.erbs.com/webinar. I hear registration is officially live for the first three events, they are populating quite quickly and the Vendor expert presenters come highly recommended- just a little insider information for you!
In all honesty though, the content and chosen topics were hand-selected based on subject matter you were interested in most recently. This series is a way for you to get the information you need to not only keep your business at its most efficient state but to also help you really understand the technologies you already have or will potentially invest in.
The second, last month we discreetly announced our Tech Tips Blog for every business. I say discreet because we haven't officially launched any of the details yet but look forward to the live blog in 2012. And you can look forward to the common and sometimes complex revelations our field engineers come across in their day-to-day.
As most everyone already knows, the technology landscape is in a constant state of change so it's our job and our responsibility to ensure the changes are communicated, made familiar & available and in the end, a right fit for your particular business. In 2012 we're prepared to do just that. Stay tuned.
Brief? They should have known better.
Cheers,
Mike Brogan, President
