Greetings!
Or, in my case, he shoots, he scores - for the other team. Come on, you had to expect March Madness would be my go-to reference when it came to this month's newsletter. Unfortunately, I thought I'd be securing bragging rights in the Final Four and that has NOT proven to be the case. Thankfully, I'm not required to tell you where I stand in our work pool or that I'm now officially and forever indebted to my wife and daughter.
March Madness, while the games and upsets are enjoyable to watch and the analysts are fun to prove wrong, the month of March reiterates an aspect of business that I can never get enough of, competitiveness! There's nothing like the competitive nature of business. I'm constantly asking myself how can we be more competitive in today's market and to no surprise (and more importantly) the answer to my question is, how can our customers be more competitive in today's market? Nothing like answering a question with a question, right?
So I got to thinking, there's ProCure PRINT, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Managed Services and the list goes on; but what capabilities available within in a our solution offerings aren't businesses fully utilizing? Unified Communications (UC)- YOUR PHONE, folks! If only it were that easy.
UC is the integration of real-time communications services such as IP telephony, instant messaging, presence information, call control, collaboration video conferencing and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, email, SMS and fax).
To us, it's the new voice; the way people communicate, or should communicate. More specifically we're talking about Presence Managment, Microsoft Lync and the ability to locate your call recipient via Google Maps - down to the sidewalk square! I'm not going to even begin to touch on the social media integration talks.
These key features provide a single interface that unites voice communications, IM and audio, video, and Web conferencing into a richer, more contextual offering. For example Users can add and connect with users on Public IM services such as Windows Live, AOL, and Yahoo! and communicate with them using their single work identity.
The best part? We offer and support ALL the above. Whether you're small-to-medium, enterprise, multiple locations, interested in mobility, you name it, we have positioned ourself to assist in giving you that competitive edge.
When it comes to March Madness, my chance of winning after the Sweet 16 dwindled, but this year in the UC arena, I'm certain our team, our experience and our resources are top contenders.
While Unified Voice will provide some hard-cost savings upfront, the more compelling benefits and savings come from your communication collaboration, workplace efficiency, productivity gains and customer service improvements- all of which are integral pieces to any business's success. And, with time, they might be the difference in a 1 or 2 seed selection between you and your competition.
All the best,
Mike, President
